Melvin Kenneth Dollar, "Ken" as he was known, was born on February 19, 1932 in Wapanucka, OK to Willie May Gary and Norwood Dollar. He passed from this life in the early evening hours of Monday, April 27, 2015 after a brief illness.
Ken served in the United States Army, attained the rank of Corporal and loved sharing his experience serving as an MP in Europe. He also enjoyed NASCAR, square dancing and was extremely involved in the 48/8. However, his greatest joy came from loving and caring for his family.
Preceded in death by his wife, Emogene Sixkiller Dollar and son Ronald Joseph Dixon Dollar, he is survived by family and friends who, from this day forward, will forever miss him immeasurably.

Ken was a kind, compassionate man with a heart of gold. I couldn't ask for a greater friend. He would do anything for anyone, without hesitation. Thank you for your true friendship and all you've done for me. Especially thank you for all the great memories. You will be greatly missed. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE.

Ken was a wonderful man, who welcomed my family into his family when I became Deana's friend in 1982. I have always felt at home in his presence and around his table. We laughed a lot and Ken always had many tales to tell about his life over the years. No matter what was going on in life, his heart and home were always open. My youngest son, Ben, admired him and would listen to him for hours. He will be missed in so many ways.
