Julia McGhee

Julia G. McGhee was born in Dardanelle, AR on January 29, 1910 to Allen and Dora (Adcock) Grace. Julia passed from this life on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the age of 104.

She married W. D. "Dub" McGhee in Tulsa on May 17, 1930 and retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company with 45 years of service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Tulsa Mrs. Club.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Norma Birmingham; her sisters and brothers; a grandson, Doug Birmingham and a great grandson, Travis Addington. She is survived by a granddaughter, Kimberlee Addington and her husband, Terry, of Tulsa and 2 great grandsons, Cody and Dustyn Addington.

Julia loved playing bridge and poker with the girls, seeing her roses bloom, reminiscing about her travels and her great grandsons. Seeing the boys always brought a smile to her face and she asked about them daily. Julia had a great sense of humor and had her quick wit to the end.
