Obituary
Joyce Mae (Hallford) Felkner was born July 6, 1931 in Okmulgee, OK to James Robert & Allie Mae (Weems) Hallford and passed from this life September 16, 2015 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 84.
Upon graduating from Webster High School Joyce devoted herself to family as a consummate homemaker. She created a loving home for her family and was always eager to help friends and family. Devoted in her faith she was a member of Jenks Church of Christ for 54 years and was a part of Carbondale Church of Christ as well. She loved garage sales; looking for that elusive treasure. She also loved painting and was a true artist.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lewis Alvin Felkner; her sister, Anita Gayle Woods; her brother, James Hallford; and her great great grandson, Lincoln Alexander Hendrix. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Jo Monahwee; her son, Robert E. Felkner and his wife, Kathy; 2 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
Joyce will lie in state 10-6 p.m. Sunday with family receiving friends from 2-4 p.m. and her funeral will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, all at the Ninde Brookside Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.

I am Brandon Hendrix and my great grandmother Joyce was a great woman. I lived with granny for 6 months before she died and she was there for me when my son died. She was a tough and hard headed woman and I loved her every second because of it. Nothing I would never change. I miss her with all my heart, and cant wait to see her again with everyone, Jesus, and God. Love Brandon. Great grandson.
