Obituary
Joshua Adam Zwosta was born April 17, 1987 in Claremore, OK. He passed from this life in Norman, OK on September 24, 2018 at the age of 31.
Josh, as he was known, was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a bachelors degree in microbiology and a double minor in chemistry and philosophy. He was employed by National Neuromonitoring Services, LLC as a neurophysiologist and recently earned his CNIM designation. Josh was passionate about family, friends, work, OU, and the Dallas Cowboys. He was known as a friendly, hardworking person who put others first and was kind to everyone. Josh lived in Norman Oklahoma with his fiancée Nicole Gorman.
Josh is survived by his parents; Tim Zwosta and Janelle Stangel; his step mother, Valerie Zwosta; step father, Brian Stangel; his fiancée Nicole Gorman; his brothers Brandon and Garin Zwosta; his grandparents, Haywood & Silver Morris and Larry & Betty Sue Williams; and his Great Grandmother, Oleta Gilbert.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his name to your favorite charity.
Josh will lie in state 10:00am to 7:00pm Monday, October 1st at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am Tuesday, October 2nd at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 400 N Aspen, Broken Arrow. There will be a reception afterwards at his family home in Tulsa.

It seems like only yesterday we were enjoying each other’s company in celebration of union and life over the gulf in Cancun. As everyone I am in great sadness over a wonderful young man taken from everyone who knew and loved him. I had the pleasure of seeing Josh grow up from a young boy into the man he became. When I received a call from his grandmother Saturday in disbelief and as I said my goodbyes Thursday my thoughts have taken me to how from a little boy to the grown man he became "he had the biggest hugs" I will always treasure thease memories as I know I will never be hugged by my sweet wonderful nefhew again. Looking through all these beautiful pictures and thinking how handsome you are Joshua. I remember when you where little and you and your dad would be getting ready, you always had to do exactly what your dad was doing, put shaving cream on, pretend shave, ALWAYS had to have his cologne on. You would always say when i grown up i want to be just like my daddy because i love my dad so much. Those images of your dad getting ready for work never left you, and you did exactly what you said you was going to do. He taught you to be your best and look your best and you look amazing in every picture i see of you. Years may have seperated us Joshua, but i hope you knew, that i thought about you very often, i remember the day i was told your dad got you and you where moving to jenks, the joy and happiness was so overwhelming because i knew from that point on you where going to be ok. Valerie is an angel from heaven just in a human body, she is the mom we ALL prayed many days and nights for you to finally have. God knew exactly what he was doing when he placed her in your life and your dads life. Life isnt fair, and im not sure that i will ever understand this, but i do know exactly where your sitting right now and if there was food in heaven, i know for sure you and grandma would be eating one of her amazing breakfast sandwhichs or out of this world cheeseburgers together. ❤❤ God only knows how much your both loved and missed.
