Obituary
John William Lopp passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the age of 95. John was born on October 24, 1921 in Tulsa, OK to Frederick and Vera (Harner) Lopp. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 sisters, Jane Lopp, Margaret Golliver, Betty Bleigh, and Vera F. Lopp. He is survived by his wife, Victoria and numerous nieces and nephews. John’s father died when he was only 10, leaving him to be the man of the house. He graduated from Central High School in 1940. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII as an aircraft mechanic.
In the late 50’s, he met the love of his life Victoria Rendoff. They were married on June 13, 1959. They did not have any children of their own, but loved to spend time with their families. They both enjoyed volunteering at church and traveling. After a successful career as a heat and air technician, he retired from Bovaird Supply in 1986.
Service 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, September 26 at John Calvin Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to John Calvin Presbyterian Church, 8181 E. 31st St., Tulsa, OK 74145

John was such a sweet man. When my sons were small, John sat with them in church every Sunday so my husband and I could sing in the choir (and I sang next to his wife, Vickie). People commented on how great it was that my father would take care of Rob and Chris. No relative at all, just a very, very nice man. My sons still remember the Lopps with love and appreciation.
