John Shrewder

John Robert "Trey" Shrewder, III was born May 26, 1990 in Washington, DC to Jay and Susan (Mobley) Shrewder. He passed from this life Saturday, April 2, 2011 in Ashville, NC at the age of 20.

Trey moved with his family back to their hometown of Tulsa in 1993. He attended Cascia Hall Preparatory School and was a 2009 graduate of Tulsa Booker T. Washington High School.

Trey was preceded in death by his grandmother, Trudy Reitz Shrewder. He is survived by his parents, Susan and Jay Shrewder; his sister, Taylor Elizabeth Shrewder; and his brother, James Alexander Shrewder, all of Tulsa; grandparents, Roger and Anne Mobley of Tulsa and John R. Shrewder of Phoenix, AZ; aunts, Tracy Shrewder Larson, Joci Shrewder Miceli, Amy Mobley Stoeppelwerth and Rebecca Mobley Dillon; and lots of best friends.

You came to us, a gift from God so that we would come to know the power of unconditional love. Our time with you here was way too short. We had only begun to grasp His message through you. The many lives you have touched will forever be remembered. God has a plan for all of us and he needed you now. Our beautiful son, we will be reunited soon in eternal happiness. The sun is out, the birds are singing, a reminder you are smiling down on us forever.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Friday, April 8, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church, 709 S. Boston Ave. and the family invites friends to an Open House at 2216 E. 24th Street.
