John Lister

Lister, John Louie, age 81, passed from this life on Monday, April 27, 2009 at his home in Sapulpa. John was born on May 2, 1927 in Tulsa, OK to Louie and Lena (Brown) Lister. John served his country honorably during WWII, enlisting in the Navy in 1945 and was discharged as a Seaman 2nd Class in 1947. He was a truck driver most of his working career, hauling everything from wholesale foods to letters for the U.S. Postal Service. John was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ralph Lister and Milford Lister and sisters, Nellie Edwards, Thelma Clay and Loreita Smalley. He is survived by his wife, Darlene, of the home; daughters, Kathy Ann Nordmann, of Springdale, AR, Patricia Denise Stroman, of Manteca, CA, Valerie Jean Moses, of Hayward, CA and Angie Ronette Repsher, of Sapulpa, OK; sons, Johnny Lee Lister, of Broken Arrow, OK, Kevin Eugene Lister, of Boulder Creek, CA and Scott Allen Lister, of Springdale, AR; 9 grandchildren, Zackery Repsher, Marcus Repsher, April Hegdale, John Steven Lister, Jennifer Colgan, Yvette Moses, Danielle Burton, Ryan Stroman and Nicole Stroman and 4 great grandchildren.
