Obituary
Jo Ann (Shelton) McCabe was born December 26, 1927 to Willis L. & Frankie B. (English) Shelton and passed from this life February 11, 2017 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 89. Jo Ann married Henry F. McCabe on October 12, 1947.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Marcy Ann McCabe; her brother, Dale L. Shelton; and her sister, Marcella Harrison. She is survived by her husband, Henry F. McCabe; Henry’s daughter, Joan Owens; her son, Verne L. McCabe and wife Rosemary; her daughter, Cathy McPherson and husband Mark; her daughter, Karen Arlene Burrows and husband Brad; her brothers-in-law, Glenn Harrison, Grant McCabe and Kenneth McCabe; 21 grandchildren; and 33 great grandchildren.
Jo Ann will lie in state Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Osage Cemetery in Osage, OK. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Baptist Church, Bixby, OK.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in her memory to be made to Oklahoma Baptist Children’s Home, 12700 E 76th St. North, Owasso, OK 74055 or to Samaritan’s Purse at samaritanspurse.org

Jo Ann was such a special lady. A woman of great wisdom and a great teacher on Life as well as a Godly woman. She and her husband were such a wonderful example for longevity in marriage. They lived it everyday. It was always so obvious she dearly loved her husband, children and grandchildren. I was blessed to know her and her family. She will be greatly missed! Much love Susie
