Jimmie Applegate

Jimmie Ray Applegate was born on February 21, 1940 in Peggs, OK to Alvin and Linnie (Spradlin) Applegate. Jim passed from this life on Thursday, February 2, 2012 in Vinita, OK at the age of 71.

Being a former professional truck driver, he loved traveling. He and Carol traveled all over the country in their RV and loved seeing the sights. In addition to traveling, he loved the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing and in later years, he loved the hunt of the elusive jackpot at the nearest casino. Jim loved to work with wood and made several pieces of furniture for his family and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Lou Applegate, on December 19, 2011. A brother, Mitchell Applegate also preceded Jim in death. He is survived by, 3 daughters, Connie Krueger, of Chelsea, OK, Carla Tyler, of Locust Grove, OK and Christi Trace, of Hallett, OK; 1 son, Kerry Applegate, of Chelsea, OK; a sister, Mildred Condreay, of Houston, TX; 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
