Janie Heard

Janie Madge Heard, 84, died on Thursday, July 2, 2009 in Tahlequah, OK. Born June 24, 1925 in Clarksville, TX the daughter of Ralph C. and Madge (Moreland) Heard. She was an analytical chemicst having worked for Standard Oil, Dowell Chemical Research Laboratory, NASA projects, Tulsa Water Dept., Universal Oil Products, Cities Service CO. More importantly she was a devout Catholic having been a member of Christ the King Parish in Tulsa. She taught catechism classes,was a Eucharistic Minister and attended Mass daily. Survivors: Nieces: Jennifer Roberts and her husband Raymond of Tahlequah and Susan Appleby of Topeka, KS; great Nephews and nieces: Mike Roberts, Taylor Frost and Austin Appleby; great, great Nieces and Nephews: Emily Roberts and Carter Frost; also many godchildren and friends. Memorial mass will be 11:00 Wednesday, July 8th at Christ the King Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made to Catholic Charities or Neighbor for Neighbor.
