Wert, Janice "Jill" Brendle,80, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2008 in Tulsa, OK after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was born May 1, 1928 in Reading, Pennsylvania to Myron Eugene Brendle and Dorothy Ellen (Waidlich) Brendle. Jill graduated from Palmyra High School in 1946 and was married to James Edward Wert on September 14, 1952 in Palmyra, Pennsylvania. Jill worked as a secretary in Harrisburg, PA, Allentown, PA and Columbus, OH prior to the arrival of her children. She was a loving wife and fun-loving mother to her three children. The family moved to Tucson, AZ in 1966 where she lived for the next 28 years. She was an active member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church serving as an elder, helping in the church office, and participating in the church choir. In 1994, Jill moved to Tulsa, OK to be closer to her two daughters and her grandchildren. She will be missed. Jill was preceded in death by her husband James Wert. She is survived by her three children, Nora Welsh of Tulsa, OK, Martin Wert of Tucson, AZ, Stacia Wert-Gray of Edmond, OK and three grandchildren, Truit Gray, Thomas Gray and travis gray all of Edmond, OK. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at East Lawn Cemetery Chapel, 5801 E. grant road.
