Janice E. Peterson

Janice E. Peterson, devoted and loving wife and mother, was born on January 20, 1943 in Eureka, KS to John Henry Samuels and Mary (Taylor) Samuels. Janice passed from this life on Saturday, June 13, 2020 in Tulsa at the age of 77.

Janice and her husband, Bruce, were brought up in the First Christian Church and in 1983 joined Trinity Episcopal of Tulsa. January 23, 2020 marked the 37th anniversary of their confirmation. Until precluded by failing health, Janice had been a devoted lector reader at Trinity for 25 years. She was a fervent Anglophile, with a passion for ancient world, as well as, British history. Jan enjoyed reading biographical works and her love of classical music included the compositions of favorite composers Bach, Mozart, and Vivaldi. The southwestern landscapes of New Mexico and Arizona were among her favorite places on God's earth.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard Bruce Peterson of Tulsa; a son, Eric Joseph Peterson of Tulsa and a sister, Sharon Lykins of Derby, KS.

Service 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 19, 2020 at Ninde Brookside Chapel with interment in Rolling Oaks Memorial Gardens.
