Obituary
Jacquelyn Flick Bowlin, age 87 of Tulsa, OK died on October 8, 2017 in Tulsa, OK. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Tulsa at 11th and Boulder on Friday, October 27 at 10:00 AM with Reverend Aaron Tiger officiating and Music Director Joseph Bias as soloist.
Jackie was born on May 31, 1930 in Stratford OK in her grandparent’s home. Her parents were Oscar Walker & Goldwyn Glynore Green. Although the man she knew and loved as Dad was her stepfather, Jessie Norris Flick, a baseball enthusiast as was Jackie. She graduated from Tulsa Will Rogers High School in 1948. She married Gene Bowlin and together they had two children. Before establishing a career as a mortgage loan officer she was a dedicated homemaker and mother.
She enjoyed volunteer work with children, travel, books, movies, music and dancing She loved dancing in the Red Glove Revue and tap dancing with the Step Sisters; but most of all she loved her family. She joined University United Methodist Church while in high school and formed many lasting friendships there. More recently she attended First United Methodist Church of Tulsa. Jackie is survived by her daughter Vicki, her son Ron and his wife Kim, four grandchildren: Jay Bowlin and wife Elizabeth, Kennith Bowlin and wife Kerry, John Bowlin and wife Jackye, Alicia Schrader and husband Brent. She has six great-grandchildren. Jackie is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Charles Mickey Flick and her sister Betty Jo Moss.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Music Department of First United Methodist Church or the Humane Society of Tulsa. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at St. Simeon’s Retirement Community for their dedicated and caring support while Jackie was a resident.

Jackie was a long-time close friend of my parents. I recall many years of get-togethers, all-day spaghetti sauce and of course the years of Red Glove Revues. Warm wishes to the family with deep gratitude for the many memories.

I am so sorry to hear of Jackie's passing. She was one of my late mother's best friends for many years. And my dad and brother Greg also thought the world of her. I saw her while visiting Tulsa during the holidays a couple of years ago. And she was still as full of life as ever. My deepest condolences and thoughts go to Vicki, Ron and Kim and all of her other family members. She was one of a kind.

I was so sorry to hear of Jackie's passing. Although we were really cousins, I have always referred to her as "Aunt Jackie". She and my mother, Sue Huddleston, were very close, so I enjoyed growing up around her and her children, Vicki and Ron. Jackie was fun to be around, always happy. She loved her family so much. I often heard stories about her grandchildren, and as of late, her great-grandchildren. I will miss her. My deepest sympathy to Vicki and Ron and the rest of her family.

Jackie was my first cousin. She was always a favorite of mine because she was such a sweet and loving person and fun to be around. I just wanted to leave a note for her family, what a truly special friend, Jackie, was to many. I worked with her during her MidAmerica Days and we continued to exchange Christmas cards each year. She always had a smile and willing to help all that work with her. She loved her family and loved sharing the times she shared with them. May sweet memories be yours always.
