Obituary
Ira Lee Gill born July 10, 1927 in Wynnewood, OK and was welcomed into heaven on April 27, 2017. Ira Lee was a devoted wife, mother, friend and MeMaw. She will be missed by all she leaves behind.
Ira Lee was a long time Jenks resident and member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Gill. She leaves behind her son Mike and wife Kristi of Roanoke, TX; her daughter, Linda Sanders of Sapulpa, OK; three grandchildren, Brian Gill of Garland, TX, Danielle Gill of Mt. Dora, FL and Tori Sanders of Sapulpa, OK.
Ira Lee will lie in state Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.

So many great memories of special times together that began with our fathers, continued with our generation and passed on to our children playing together at holidays and gathering Easter eggs. Your mom and I met many years ago. Vernon and Dale were best friends since childhood and your mom and I were destined to share many years together as good friends, even being married in their home. We were young couples who got together for cards, coffee and pie nearly every weekend in the early years of marriage. I have such fond memories of our family fish fries, making homemade ice cream, sharing alternating holidays in our homes, seeing our kids grown up together and watching the guys fall asleep in the recliners while watching football. Your mom was a wonderful friend for many years and I will think of her often. Your family is always welcome in my home. Love Nyla
