Stone, Howard Leslie, 84, of Tulsa, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 23, 2008. He was born on September 4, 1923 in Clovis, NM to Leslie and Margie (Snyder) Stone. Howard received his B.S. Degree from O.U. and was Honorably Discharged from the Army Air Corps after serving during WWII. He retired from Phillips Petroleum Company after 27 years. During his employment, he was an oil buyer and negotiator that took him to many parts of the world, including Bartlesville, OK and Houston, TX. He was a former Scout Master and Golden Glove Champion. Howard loved to fish and travel. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Stone, in 2003. He is survived by a daughter, Leslie Stone and son, Bruce Stone, both of Tulsa; a grandson, James Stone; great grandson, Ryan Stone and a niece, Paula Elbert. The family will receive friends from 4 - 6 P.M. Thursday at the Ninde Woodland Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held 10:30 A.M.
