Henry D.O

Henry Fred Gaddy, D.O was born November 18, 1918 in Sapulpa, OK to Henry J. and Nettie E. (Cole) Gaddy. He passed from this life Sunday, October 25, 2009 at the age of 90.

Dr. Gaddy was a 1940 graduate of the College of Osteopathy and Surgery in Kerksville, MO and in 1945, he co-founded the Oklahoma Osteopathic Hospital in Tulsa. He then established the Tulsa General Osteopathic Hospital in 1952. He married Faye Pauline "Polly" Dunaway in 1959.

Dr. Gaddy was a long-time member of Boston Avenue Methodist Church, a 32nd degree Mason and member of the Akdar Shrine.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dr. Frank C. Gaddy; his sons, Dr. Henry Samuel Gaddy and Robert Brent Gaddy. He is survived by his wife 50 years, Polly, of the home; son, Daniel L. Gaddy of Tulsa; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and god daughter, Paula Marshall of Tulsa.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel followed by a reception at the Memorial Park Family Center.
