Obituary
Helen Louise McCarty was born October 24, 1923 in Springfield, MO to Roy and Bertha Hinds. She passed from this life Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in Tulsa at the age of 92.
Helen was a 1941 graduate of Central High School in Tulsa. She was a founding member of the Tulsa #1 Sweet Adelines. Past president and charter member of National Association of Women In Construction (NAWIC), and long time member of Will Rogers United Methodist Church. She was always kind, loving, and willing to help everyone. She never meant a stranger and was an inspiration to everyone around her. She was devoted to her family and her grandchildren were the light of her life. She always lived her life according to her strong Christian faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William McCarty in 2006 and son Robert Lee McCarty in 1954.
She is survived by her brother Dean Hinds, son Dale Ray McCarty; daughter Penny Lynn Chambers; granddaughters Casey Dale McCarty, Rachel Lynn Chambers and Latrisha Sue McCarty; grandsons Michael Dale Chambers Jr and Matthew Ryan Chambers; great grandchildren Jagger Colt Chambers, Piper Lynn Chambers and Katelyn Wallace.

I'm deeply sorry for your loss. Helen was a great lady and a classy lady in every sense of the word. I will miss "my favorite red head" . I will miss her jokes, her smile and her "pick yourself up and dust yourself off" attitude. She was one of a kind and will be missed by all those that knew her and respected her as I did. Helen enriched my life and I am a better person for having known her. I am sad that Helen is gone but I am also happy because I know where she is .... telling jokes to the man upstairs and making everyone laugh. RIP Mother Superior. I will continue to keep the family in my daily prayers. God bless you all.
