Lanthrip, Hazel Irene, 96, of Tulsa passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2006. Mrs. Lanthrip was born on March 24, 1910 in Del Rio, TX to Charles and Josephine (Schunke) Calley. She was very fond of her mother until the day of Hazel's death. She was an ardent golfer in Texas for 65 years and volunteered many hours with the American Red Cross and the American Cancer Society. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 60 years, John "Cotton" Lanthrip, Jr. and a sister, Pauline Thrasher. She is survived by a niece and her husband, Joanne and Gene Griffith; a nephew and his wife, Charles and Jenny Thrasher, all of Tulsa; her aunt, Frances Bright, of Dublin, TX; great nieces, Nicky and Ron Shinnen, of Sapulpa and Nanette Thrasher, of Tulsa; great great nieces, Heather Evans and her sons and Holly Shinnen.
