Obituary
Hayden attended school in McAlester, Oklahoma, then obtained his degree from Tulsa Community College and continued some studies at OSU. He went on to open his first business in the Houston metropolitan area, followed by returning to Tulsa where he could be close to family. He was an entrepreneur in a variety of areas — oil field, property preservation, car washes, and home construction. Hayden’s most favorite hobbies centered around his son, Mason! Tricycles, bicycles, pedal carts, battery go-carts, electric bicycles, 4-wheelers, dirt bikes, dirt tracks, camping, boating, swimming, and cookouts. There was always a big box of Legos around that the two of them worked on. They played and laughed and giggled all the time! Hayden loved to “pile up” in bed with Mason, snuggle, and just do nothing. Hayden was so proud of Mason’s pure and honest heart.
Hayden is survived by his precious and beloved son, Mason, and Mason’s mother, Stephanie Jacobs; Hayden’s mother and stepfather, Sharon Humphrey and “Ed” Hicks; his sister, Ashley Michelle Greene; his aunt Pam and uncle Gary Manos and cousin Garrett Carrion. Hayden was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Barclay and Joie Humphrey, and cousin Amanda Dawn Manos. His father, Michael Don Greene and step-mother Brenda Garrett of Sedona, AZ; an uncle, Carl Greene, and cousins Cody Greene and Hulsey Greene; aunt and uncle Rita and Mike Scott and cousins Seneca and “Bud” Scott.
A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 9, 2025, at LifeChurch, 890 W. 81st Street, Tulsa, OK 74132. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to one of Hayden’s favorite charities, Humane Society of Tulsa, 6232 E. 60th Street, Tulsa, OK 74135 or online at www.tulsapets.com

I had not seen cousin Hayden in many years, but I have such fond childhood memories of spending time with him in Fort Worth and McAlester. In retrospect I wish I had put a little effort into spending sometime with him. You were loved and appreciated. Rest easy cousin. You will be missed.

Sharon, Ashley and family, I am so sorry to hear about Hayden. Some of my fondest childhood memories have him in them. I remember visiting y’all for a few days while we young teens and it was winter and he started shooting poor little mice with a bow and arrow. I don’t remember if he ever actually got one but Hayden was always up for a fun time! I can’t find the words because there aren’t any to express my deepest sympathy to you guys. I hope Hayden knows that he left a mark on my heart and I will never forget him. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Hayden was a great friend! Even though he was younger than us he was a mentor in several ways. We could talk to him about any financial moves we were considering and he’d help us with the pros and cons. He was our go to guy when we’d like company at dinner many great memories were made around the table. And, traveling with him was always so much fun!!! We’ll never forget him and the great times we all had together.
