Gordon Nesbit

Gordon Nesbit of Tulsa, retired stockbroker, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021. He was 91. Gordon was born January 26, 1929 in Pella, Iowa, the only child of Murray and Hildegaarde Nesbit.

Gordon served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Center College, Pella, Iowa and Drake University of Law School. He worked for many years as a stockbroker in Tulsa with securities firms including Bache & Company, Merrill Lynch, and Southwest Securities. Although divorced, he remained the devoted friend and companion of his former wife, Dolores “Doty” Kaplan Nesbit. He will be fondly remembered by his many friends for his inquisitive mind, his wonderful sense of humor, his love of gardening, astronomy, TU football, and his fascination with the next oil and gas drilling prospect. Due to the COVID situation, no present services are planned but a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
