Gilbert Hendrickson

Hendrickson, Gilbert Allen was born September 3, 1916 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to his parents Birch Andrew & Ola May (Sechrist) Hendrickson. He passed from this life to the next on December 29, 2007 at the age of 91. After High School and serving in the United States Navy, Gilbert obtained a collegiate degree preparing to be a Certified Public Accountant but discovered that his love for the outdoors was stronger than his desire for the office. He turned to his love of carpentry and spent over thirty years as a carpenter and contractor with many projects attesting to his talent. He married Mary Elizabeth (Drake) Hendrickson and they had two sons Allen and Donald. Gilbert is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents but is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth of the home; his sons Allen Drake Hendrickson of Pawnee and Donald Lee Hendrickson of Broken Arrow; his sister Mildred Louise White of Dallas; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The impact he left on his family and friends will continue to influence them throughout their lifetimes. He will be greatly missed by all.

A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Ninde Woodland Chapel, 5757 S. Memorial. He will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
