George Edwards Toole, Jr. was born on September 5, 1924 in Roseburg, Oregon to George and Thelma (Spaid) Toole. He passed from this life on Saturday, January 29, 2011 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 86. George was a 1942 graduate of Pacific Grove High School in Pacific Grove, California and was 46 year member of the Pacific Grove Alumni Association. He attended Tulsa University after serving in the U.S. Army during WWII. In 1952 George moved to California for the Comptroller job with the U.S. Army. He was active in the Kiwanis Club and the Boy Scouts of America. After moving back to Tulsa he was active in Lambda Chi Alpha. George loved to go bowling and play golf. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Mae Toole on August 15, 1999. He is survived by his sons, Lyle Toole, of Salinas, CA and George E. Toole, II, of Tulsa, OK; 1 granddaughter, Katherine Toole, of Monterey, CA; 6 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. No services planned.
