George Eastwood

George James 'Jim' Eastwood was born on July 25, 1947 in Great Bend, KS to George and Mary (Welch) Eastwood. Jim passed from this life on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 63. Jim attended school in Hoisington and received his Bachelor's degree in Education from Emporia State University. Jim retired after many years in various sales and marketing positions. He was preceded in death by, his father, George E. Eastwood; his mother, Mary Alice Eastwood Lang and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Eastwood. Jim is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Jared Rutledge, of Broken Arrow, OK, a sister, Mary Alice Carlile, of Colwich, KS, two nieces, Tracy Rohlman of Kingman, KS, and Jennifer 'JJ' VenJohn of Andale, KS. Visitation will be held 9:00 am Friday, March 11, 2011 at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington, KS. A memorial mass will follow at 10:30 am Friday, March 11, 2011 at St. John's Catholic Church in Hoisington with a private inurnment following at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St John's Catholic Church or the Humane Society of the United States.
