Frances Hamaker

Frances G. Hamaker, age 89 passed from this life on Sunday, December 5, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Ed Bateman pastor of First United Methodist Church officiating.

Mrs. Hamaker was born in Worth County, Missouri on May 20, 1921 to Cecil G. and Lula Dolly (Hibbs) Churchill.

Prior to her retirement in 1986 she was the principal for John Marshall elementary school a position she held for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Gerald, sister Vera, husband, Dean, and son Jim.

She is survived by her daughter Susan DeGraw and husband Sonny DeGraw of Jenks, daughter-in-law Carol Hamaker of Verdigris, and three grandchildren, Angela Sue Wagoner of Memphis, Jeffrey Green and wife Tammy of Bixby, Brett Hamaker of Dubai and two great grandchildren Bailey and Avery Green of Bixby. She is also survived by her nephew Donald Andrews of Grant City, Mo. and her cousin Bill Gaddis of Tulsa.

Frances and Dean were members of First United Methodist Church in Tulsa, the Elks Travelers, and the Buckoroo Square Dance Club. Frances loved her work out time with the senior group at Southminster Christian Church.
