Flossie Tyler

Tyler, Flossie O., 92, formerly of Tulsa, died on Saturday, June 10, 2006 in Campbellsville, KY. Born October 31, 1913 in Locust Grove, OK the daughter of James Thomas and Lue Ella (Switzer) Pence. She professed faith in Christ, was baptized and she was a former member of the Southeast Freewill Baptist Church. She owned and operated a child nursery for nearly 25 years. Married Ralph Stephen Tyler, Jr. on February 22, 1933 and he preceded her in death on June 23, 1990. Survivors: Children, Shirley Pilkington of Bixby, OK and Jim Tyler and his wife Jane of Campbellsville, KY; five grandchildren: Stephen Tyler, Minde Malcomson, Delma Warf, Bryan Pilkington and Kevin Pilkington; six great grandchildren: Caleb Ward, Serena Ward, Nicki Malcomson, Chris Malcomson, Kate Pilkington and Matthew Pilkington; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. The family will receive friends from 6-8 on Wednesday. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 15th in the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
