Faye Pauline Gaddy

Faye Pauline “Polly” Gaddy was born May 21, 1920 in Madison County Arkansas to John Wesley and Lucy Florence (Lewis) Dunaway. She passed from this life peacefully Friday, July 15, 2016 in Tulsa at the age of 96.

She was a 1941 graduate of Anaheim College of Beauty Culture in Anaheim, CA. In 1942 she made her home in Tulsa, where she worked in various beauty salons. In 1959, she married Dr. Henry Fred Gaddy and in 1967, she and another cosmetologist had the privilege of opening the Miss Jackson’s Beauty Salon in Utica Square.

Polly was a long-time member of Boston Avenue United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred; her twin brother, Ray Eugene Dunaway; four sisters and one other brother. She is survived by 5 nieces; 3 nephews; a step-son, Dan Gaddy; and, her goddaughter, Paula Marshall.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
