Evelyn Stewart

Stewart, Evelyn Norwood, 80, died on Wednesday, July 30, 2008. She was born March 27, 1928 in Boynton, OK the daughter of John Albert and Lola Victoria (Denney) Norwood. She graduated from Haskell High School. She lived her early adult years in southern California where she raised her three children. They relocated to the Jenks area in the early 70's. She worked as an executive secretary at MAPCO for many years and was an honorary member of the Tenth Floor Ladies Group. She was preceded in death by her husband James M. Stewart, her granddaughter, Lesley Lamborn and her brother Joe Norwood. Survivors: daughters: Teresa Marie Raybourn and her husband David, Claudia Ann Fleck and her husband Jay, all of Tulsa; son: Andrew James Schunk and his wife Cindy of California; step-son: Jim Stewart and his wife Karen of Texas; grandchildren: Travis Lamborn, Taylor Murphree, Evan Fleck, Jacob Schunk, Brad Raybourn and Kelly Raybourn; sisters: Eunice Burke and Juanita Holmes both of Sand Springs and Margaret Casey of Sperry; brothers: John Norwood of California, Jerry Norwood of Missouri and Jim Norwood of Texas. Evelyn will always be remembered by her family and friends as a special person with a wonderful sense of humor and zest for life. For her children, we could not have asked for a better mother. Evelyn loved her grandchildren most of all and she will be missed dearly. Memorial service will be 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, August 5th, 2008 at the First Presbyterian Church of Tulsa. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Board of Deacons of the 1st Presbyterian Church for the Camp Sunshine Program.
