Evalyn Davis

Evalyn Marcia (Hamilton) Davis, 93, died on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at the St. Simeon's Home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mrs. Davis was born January 6, 1914 in Waurika, Oklahoma the daughter of Phillip Thomas and Willie Eva (Stark) Hamilton. She married Trenton T. Davis on December 25, 1935 in Lubbock, Texas. After World War II they moved to Amarillo, Texas where they made their home until moving to Tulsa in 1986. While in Amarillo her husband was with the Amarillo Globe Newspaper while she was active in a number of community organizations including the Art League. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years on April 11, 2001 and her son, Thelton Trent Davis on December 29, 2006. She is survived by her daughter, Sharron Welborn and her husband Leroy of Tulsa; her sister: Mrs. Margo Bartel of Ft. Worth, Texas; her Grandchildren: Greg Welborn and Jennifer Welborn both of Tulsa; and four Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 on Friday in the Ninde Brookside Chapel, 3841 S. Peoria. Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 16th in the Memorial Park cemetery Chapel with interment to follow.
