Ellen Blackstock

Ellen W. Blackstock was born on October 6, 1923 in Bixby, OK to Elmer and Lillian Mae (Wright) Hendrix. Ellen passed from this life surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the age of 88.

She retired from Burma Henzel Insurance Company as a secretary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Herbert Blackstock and a daughter, Barbara Ann Taylor. Ellen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Kent Cannady, of Claremore, OK; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Brenda Blackstock, of Tulsa, OK; a step daughter, Carol Blackstock, of New Orleans, LA; son-in-law, Steve Taylor; a sister, Mary Lou Thompson, of Lake Tenkiller, OK; and former daughter-in-law, Barbara Kay Blackstock-Taylor; 6 grandchildren, Thomas Nathan Blackstock, Jr., Doug Blackstock, Adam Taylor and his wife Jenney May, Kristi Cannady Stallsworth and her husband, Chris, Erin Taylor Earnest and her husband Donnie and Nichole Blackstock and extended family members, Kevin and Cathy Cannady and Kimberly Cannady and numerous great grandchildren.
