Mrs. Eleanor Mitchell Cassity, 85, died Wednesday, May 24, 2006.
Mrs. Cassity was born in Tulsa, OK, daughter of the late Cecil and Nellie Johnson Mitchell. She graduated from Tulsa Central High School and for many years was a bookkeeper for several Tulsa oil companies, including Signal Drilling. She was a long-time member of the Tulsa Gem & Mineral Society and Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church. She called Durham, North Carolina her home for the last 11 years, where she became a member of Mt. Sylvan United Methodist Church and the Mt. Sylvan Seniors.
Surviving is her husband of 47 years, John C. Cassity; daughter, Diana Jackson and her husband, Robert, of Durham; and grandchildren, Genesa Trogdon and her husband, Leonard, of Summerfield, NC and Kyle Jackson, of Raleigh, NC.
A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, June 10 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, OK.
