Eddie J. Hudson

Eddie J. Hudson was born August 9, 1926 in Delta, Alabama to E.J. and Alvie (Smith) Hudson. He passed from this life March 10, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 88.

Ed married Olga Rose Ellis in Reform, Alabama on August 27, 1947. After serving in the Army, Ed attended the University of Alabama and received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1948. He became a petroleum engineer, working first for Atlantic Refining Company and then for Buffalo Oil Company. He moved to Tulsa in 1954. He later formed Hudson Consulting, Inc. which served the petroleum engineering industry.

Ed and Olga enjoyed traveling widely, visiting Australia with their grandson and Africa with their granddaughters. Ed was an active member of First Methodist Church for many years. He is survived by his daughter, Janet Lynn Hudson Caldwell, and her husband, John W. Caldwell, of Rose Valley, PA; his grandchildren, Philip Edward Caldwell, Katherine Elaine Caldwell, and Sarah Anne Caldwell; and his great-granddaughters, Alexandra Marie Caldwell and Claire Evelyn Caldwell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Olga on June 24, 2014 and his daughter Karen Elaine Hudson on April 12, 1968.

A celebration of life will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 13, 2015 in the Creek Room at Inverness Village, 3800 W. 71st Street, Tulsa. Interment will be private.
