E. D. "Bud" Smith

Ebert Delbert "Bud" Smith was born July 13, 1928 to Ira Walter & Lora Mae (Guffey) Smith in Seminole, OK and passed from this life December 10, 2014 at the age of 86.

Bud was an automobile painter deluxe, perfecting the art long before today's modern techniques and tools were in place. He worked for Dean Bailey Oldsmobile for over 25 years. He loved the outdoors and often enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family and friends. He was generous beyond measure, and his kindness will be long remembered. He will be missed greatly.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Lorene, Dokie, and VonDene. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Donna Marie (James) Smith; his daughters, Vickie Gage and her husband, Dudley, Lori Hargrove and her husband, Roger, Sharan Smith and Evelyn Bruton; his brother Bobby Don Smith and half-brother Dudley Cobble; his grandchildren, Larry Pryor and his wife Angela and Cori White and her husband Cody; and his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Grayson, Caden, Rylan, and Reese.

Bud will lie in state 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday with the family receiving friends from 5-7 pm at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. His graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens where he will be laid to rest.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Cityplex Towers, 2448 E 81st St #3000, Tulsa, OK 74137.
