Dorothy Clara McDonald passed from this life on Saturday, October 25, 2014 in Tulsa.
Dorothy was born on December 9, 1923 in St. Louis, Missouri to Albert and Clara (Bullinger) LeGrand.
She grew up in St. Louis and later moved with her parents to Benton, Missouri. She and Weldon McDonald were united in marriage and he preceded her in death in 1995.
She along with her husband lived and worked on their farm near Ramona from 1953 til 2011 when she moved to Tulsa where she spent the last three years at St. Simeon’s. She was lover of nature and animals and loved to garden.
She is survived by her son James McDonald and his wife Pamela of Tulsa, two brothers, Jerome LeGrand of California and Donald LeGrand of Texas, two grandchildren, Catlin McDonald and Ellen McDonald.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda and a son Steven McDonald, her sister, Jeanne LeGrand and her brothers, William and Albert LeGrand.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Dorothy has been someone who has lived at Saint Simeon's who has greatly touched the heart of everyone who knew her. This extends to her family. Jim was a constant visitor for his mom, but a source of comfort and entertainment to the others who sat at her table. I have never seen such devotion. It does give me something to strive for. Also his willpower in turning down the cookies will never be forgotten either. God bless all of you as you travel through this final journey with your mom. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
