Doris Millard

Millard, Doris (Kessinger), 80, of Tulsa, passed from this life on Saturday, July 5, 2008. Doris was born in Tulsa, OK on August 18, 1927 to Carl and Helen (Miller) Kessinger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maydwell H. Millard, Jr. in 1997. She is survived by a daughter, Alice Ellington, of Tulsa, OK; a son, Joseph Paul Millard, of Ft. Mill, SC; a sister, Helen Manning, of Sheridan, TX; 4 grandchildren, Heather Beckwith, Katherine Ellington, Rebecca Blessley and Joseph Millard, Jr. and 2 great grandchildren, Aidan Ellington and Ceili Millard. Doris worked in Tulsa as a Registered Nurse and retired in 1977 from the American Red Cross. Doris and her husband moved to Honolulu, HI in 1978, later moving to Kailula-Kona, HI, where she lived for 20 years until the death of her husband. Doris returned to Tulsa in 1999 and was an active member of her church, always sharing her gift of song. Doris also donated time at a local food bank. In 2006, Doris moved to Heatheridge Assisted Living enjoying her last years as an active senior. Doris will be missed by the many lives she touched. Service 10:00 A.M.
