Doris Mae (Wingfield) Hawkins was born November 8, 1931 to Oscar & Lillie Mae (Parker) Wingfield in Ripley, OK and passed from this life January 12, 2017 at the age of 85.
Doris enjoyed traveling with her husband and camping, cooking and her work. Actively employed until age 82 Doris was industrious, creative and energetic.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carlos Ray Hawkins; and her brothers, Dennis Wingfield, Bill Wingfield, Jerry Wingfield and Larry Wingfield. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Wells and Sheila Farrrara; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and 1 great, great grandson.
Doris will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and her funeral will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, both at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest following at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, OK.
