Doris E. Cates

Doris Elizabeth (McConnell) Cates was born January 30, 1930 in Patton, PA to Thomas Alphonse & Anna Marie (Weakland) McConnell and passed from this life on February 14, 2015 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 85.

Doris worked in the printing department at Thomas and Betts for many years until her retirement. Her hobbies included bowling and square dancing, which she enjoyed with her husband Willie. She enjoyed going to Las Vegas and you could find her at the Triple Diamond slot machines or in the bingo hall. Doris was always surrounded by family and loved to play Skip Bo and Yahtzee with them.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; Franklin Langley, Donald Gotcher and Willie W. Cates; two sisters and her brother. She is survived by her daughters, Trudie Langley and Barbara McPartlan and her husband James; her son, Greg Langley; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

Doris will lie in state 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 17th at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. Her funeral will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 18th at the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
