Obituary
Dorene "Reny" Buell, 57, died of heart disease on July 13 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. The fifth of seven children, she was born July 9, 1954 in New Brunswick, NJ to Irving Berlin and Mary Margaret Schenck. She attended Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ where she was introduced to her future husband, Larry (Princeton '74), by Sonia Sotomayor (Princeton '76), eventual Supreme Court Justice. Married in Los Angeles in 1975, Reny and her husband also lived in Atlanta before moving to Tulsa in 1979. Reny is survived by her husband Larry, son Matthew, daughter Rachael, 4 siblings and countless friends. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, September 18, at a place and time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, it was Reny's wish that memorial contributions be made to the National Federation of the Blind (www.nfb.org).
