Dora Earlene Russell

Dora Earlene (Forrest) Russell was born September 29, 1935 in Tahlequah, OK to Louie & Myrtle (Graham) Forrest and passed from this life on August 23, 2014 at the age of 78.

Earlene's life and joy revolved around her family. She loved get togethers, family dinners and holidays with the house filled with laughter and festive talk. She had a talent for crocheting, knitting and quilting; guaranteeing her family's warmth through the coldest of winters. These handcrafted gifts have now become family heirlooms that will be gathered with her memories for generations to come.

Earlene was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Faye Hayes and Wilma DeGraff; her brothers, Chester Forrest, Euell Forrest and Arnold Forrest. She is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Houston Russell; her daughters, Diane Anderson and her husband Ron and Annette Butler; her son, Mike Russell and his wife Terry; her brothers, Dwayne Forrest and Wayne Lee Forrest; seven grandchildren; and ten and a half great grandchildren.

Earlene will lie in state Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Rose Cemetery, Rose, OK.
