Obituary
Donald Lee Potter was born December 18, 1922 in Oilton, Oklahoma to George W. and Molley (Karr) Potter. He passed away December 8, 2008 at the age of 85. Don was a decorated World War II veteran, serving in the 45th Infantry from 1940 - 1945 and retired from the United States Postal Service after 27 years. He was an avid O.U. football fan and booster.
Don is survived by his wife Bonnie Lee (Griffin) Potter; his son Tommy Potter, sisters Wanda Law and Peggy Lusby; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Southern Hills Baptist Church with interment to follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, OK. For those who wish other than flowers the family suggests contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4110 S.100th East Ave, Suite 101, Tulsa, OK 74146 or the Clarehouse, 7324 E 49th Pl, Tulsa, OK 74145.
