Don DeSelms

DeSELMS - Don Baker, 70, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2008 after a long and courageous fight with cancer. Don was born on August 17, 1937, the only son of Byron Hellard DeSelms and Grace Elizabeth Baker. He graduated from Central High School, the University of Oklahoma and was an alumnus of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He was a life long resident of Tulsa and worked in commercial insurance. He was a friend of Bill W. for 24 years. Don had a wonderful love for God, his wife of 25 years, his children and grandchildren. He is survived by: his wife, Sally; his 3 children which he had with Peggy Sears-Wood: daughter, Lynda and Jim Forrester, son, Don and Paula DeSelms, son Stuart and Mary Kay DeSelms; and his 7 grandchildren, John, Emma, Jake, Will, Sommer, Michael and Byron. Service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, March 6, 2008, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 501 S. Cincinnati, Tulsa, OK 74103. In lieu of flowers the family ask donations be made to the charity of your choice.
