Diana R. Carroll

Diana Rue Carroll was born January 16, 1922 to Charles and Ruby (Ruff) Henderson in Sapulpa, OK. She passed from this life Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the age of 94. She was a graduate of Sapulpa High School and later attended Oklahoma State University. She worked as an administrative assistant for executive management for a number of years before deciding that raising a family was her number one priority. She later began a second career, working again as an administrative assistant for executive management of the Oral Roberts Association and enjoyed 19 years there before retiring in 1991.

Diana loved playing cards with her sisters and family and enjoyed reading, old movies, cooking and baking. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

She is survived by her son, Michael Carroll; former daughter-in-law, Elaine Glass; grandchildren, Michele Cornwell and her husband, Matthew, Melinda Gomez and her husband, Louis and, Kelly Reynolds; great-grandchildren, Logan and Holden Cornwell, Jordan, Savanna and Sierra Salas, Sadie and Austin Reynolds. She is also survived by her daughter, Mary Catherine Carroll as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dale and Don Henderson; sisters, Dorothy (Henderson) Stover, Delores (Henderson) Galbraith, Edith Delaine (Henderson) Cunningham, Daphne Yvonne (Henderson) Diehl; her daughter, Amy Carroll; her niece, Pam Dunbar and nephew, Stan Carver.

A rosary will be held 7:00 pm Wednesday and funeral mass will be held 11:00 am Thursday, September 8, 2016 both at Church of St. Mary. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
