Deloris Weedin

Deloris C. "Dee" Weedin was born May 5, 1937 in Muskogee, OK to Kenneth and Audrey Thompson. She went to be with the Lord, to a greater calling Monday, February 11, 2008 at the age 70.

She was raised in Muskogee and graduated from Central High School. Dee moved to Tulsa after she married Art Weedin in 1957. Dee was a member of various clubs and served as president of the Tulsa Mrs. Club. She also was member of the Tulsa Boy's Home and the Toute Le Monde Club. Dee was an avid bridge player throughout her life.

During the 1980's, Dee and her family moved to the Grand Lake area. She and Art were active in golf events; various clubs, including serving as president of the Coves Golf Club of Grand Lake; member of the Foxy Ladies Red Hat Club of Grand Lake; Friends of the Library; and, participated in many charity drives.

Dee was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Art Weedin. She is survived by their three daughters, Marlene Weedin of Tulsa, Sherry Tipton and her husband, Rick of Tulsa, Cindy Alls and her husband, Shane of the Grand Lake area; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Connie Thompson, Bob and Brenda Thompson; two granddaughters, Lindsay York and her husband, Jeff, and Angela Tipton, all of Tulsa; four great grandchildren, Taylor, Casey, Jake and Hannah; as well as nieces and nephews, all in the Tulsa area.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 51st and Memorial.
