Deborah (Debbie) Jean Mitchell Hamilton, 60, of Tulsa, passed away June 7, 2018. Debbie was born November 30, 1957 in Tulsa, OK to Tom and Marilyn Donavan Mitchell. Debbie is survived by her mother, Marilyn Dock, two children Sean Hamilton, his wife, Cassie of Savannah, GA and Katy Naile, her husband Jon, of Tulsa and the cherished lights of her life, her grandchildren. Angel Hamilton, Star Hamilton, Destiny Hamilton, Nevaeh Hamilton, Cayden Romero, Kaiden Hamilton, Madison Romero, Ian Hamilton, Apollo Naile and Orion Naile. Debbie was the favorite aunt of many nieces and nephews. Debbie was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Tom (TJ) Mitchell, Jr. and William (Bill) Mitchell.
Debbie's children and grandchildren were the center of her world. She was incredibly proud of each and every one of them and her protectiveness of them was fierce.
Debbie was a longtime volunteer in Tulsa with Oktoberfest, Tulsa Riverparks, American Legion, Post #1 and Mayfest. She also volunteered in Newton, KS with String Break, a Kirk Rundstrom Memorial Music Festival. Debbie volunteered because she was such a giving person. She gave her strength and her soul. She never said no to anyone in need, especially her friends. She had an amazing smile that lit up her face and could make anyone smile in return.
Debbie loved good books, good music, and good friends, of which, she had many. Debbie loved camping, sailing, a good cold beer, playing cards, cast iron and Vidalia onions. She could cook a gourmet meal on a campfire that she started with a single match. She loved a spirited debate......... Debbie sewed, crocheted, gardened and always cheered for Oklahoma State, no matter what.
Debbie had the biggest, most giving heart of anyone that we will ever meet and we are blessed in knowing her.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Ninde Brookside Chapel.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the Debbie Mitchell Hamilton GoFundMe account or any Arvest Bank.
So sorry for the family members my thoughts and prayers are with all of you

I miss your sweet sweet smile and your infectious laugh! I’ll always remember the days at Mickey Crockers country darlin’ the late nights after we finish playing and you finished working. Although you and Bobby didn’t work out as a married couple, you’ll always be my sister-in-law. Your children will always be welcome at my table and home. I will miss you till I see you again on the other side. God Bless

Debbie had such a wonderful spirit about her, one I will never forget. We always laughed and said our lives had 3 degrees of separation. So many times we shared, so many people we both knew, so much we had in common, even working at the same place many years ago, yet we didn’t meet until about 14 years ago. I will cherish the days we spent together. Peace, love and good music to you now and always.

Debbie, you were the one who was there to listen, to laugh with, to cry with, you helped me get through the worst time in my life. You have been a good friend, and sister. I do miss you. Although, I know your not far away. See you. Later Sister.

As Debbie's father's first cousin, I have fond memories of Debbie and her brothers when they were growing up in their Tulsa home even though I lived in Oklahoma City. We got together often at family events and other occasions. However, I left Oklahoma after getting my education and I have lived in a variety of other states and I did not get back to Tulsa during those years. However, after finally moving to Texas some years ago, I was happily able to see Debbie a good bit more often. My wife, Marianne, and I always enjoyed such occasions. Debbie was always a delight and we enjoyed spending time with her. Marianne and I extend our sincere condolences to Debbie's mother, Marilyn, and to Debbie's children and grandchildren.

Debbie was a very special person, always there when needed. She was a tremendous asset to Oktoberfest, where I was privileged to know her very well. You will be deeply missed. Nick

You were the best friend; always honest, always there for me when I didn't even know how badly I needed you, our shared love of music, books, camping, laughing and the comfort and joy we found in the company "our Tulsans" and our shared history of "our town". I am many miles away in Oregon (another great road trip of ours) I cannot be there. You are in my heart and always will be. Happy Trails my Deb.

Dear Family, I first met Debbie in person January 2014, when she purchased a couch and love seat from me that I delivered to the household of one of her children, an apartment off Lewis. I became further acquainted a couple times since then. I'll never forget her. Please accept my condolences for this very significant loss.. be comforted. Sincerely, James Shreffler
