Dean Nick Roilos

Konstantine "Nick" Roilos, known to family and friends as Dean, passed away on July 30, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 72.

Dean was born on January 27, 1954, in Tulsa to Nick and Theodora Roilos, both proud immigrants from Greece. As a first-generation Greek American, Dean carried a deep love and appreciation for his heritage. He took pride in preserving the traditions, faith, and values passed down by his parents and remained strongly connected to the Greek community throughout his life.

A lifelong Tulsan, Dean graduated from Will Rogers High School and later earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Tulsa. He went on to join American Airlines/SABRE as a computer programmer, where he stayed for the remainder of his career.

Dean's life was centered around his faith, family, friends, and Greek heritage. A devoted member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Tulsa, he remained actively involved in the parish throughout his life. He also dedicated many years as president to the Order of AHEPA Chapter 13, an organization that was especially meaningful to him.

Those who knew Dean will remember his intelligence, convictions, and sense of humor. He loved engaging in conversations, sharing stories, and discussing everything from current events to history. To many in the younger generation of his extended family, he was simply "Uncle Dean". Dean had a big heart. His kindness, genuineness and loyalty left a lasting impact on those who loved him. Dean will be deeply missed.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Theodora Roilos.  He is survived by his beloved godson, Jordan Johnson, whom he loved as a son; Jordan's siblings, Jonathan and Jasmine Pappas; and Jordan's mother, Mahogany Pappas. He is also survived by his cousins, Patricia Komis (Michael) and Steven Karey (Karen); his goddaughter, Georgia Chahalis (George), and their children, Christina and Demetri; Nick Cory (Jeanine) and their children, Anna and Luke.

Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Tulsa on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Rose Hill Cemetery. A Makaria luncheon will follow immediately afterward at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to AHEPA Chapter 13, an organization Dean deeply believed in and faithfully supported throughout his life.
