Obituary
David John Berney passed away unexpectedly on the morning of October 15, 2014 as the result of an apparent heart attack. David was born in San Antonio, Texas, on January 10,1968 to Arnold E. and Linda Mudd Berney.
David and his family enjoyed the privilege of working and living abroad in Tokyo, Japan and Geneva, Switzerland. He completed high school at Tulsa Union and graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1992 with a B.A. in psychology.
He was a sales representative for Sysco Foods, The New Fadler Company and Tankersly Food Service Company. He also served as a market research specialist for Okin USA a subsidiary of Okin Motor Company of Germany.
David had a great interest and skill in repairing computers. He enjoyed many sports, including skiing, racquet ball and Tae Kwon Do, and he loved to go fishing.
David was married in Tulsa to Gaynor Fleener on November 11, 2001. His precious daughter, the light of his life, Lillian Edana was born June 21, 2003. David is survived by by his parents Arnold and Linda of Joplin, Missouri, his sister Valerie Cripps of Los Angeles, California, his former wife Gaynor Berney, of Tulsa, his daughter, Lillian of Tulsa and his grandmother, Jinny Mudd of Tulsa and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
David had a kind, compassionate heart and quick wit and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Memorial service will be held at Ninde Funeral Home, 3841 S. Peoria, Tulsa, Oklahoma on Monday, October 20 at 1:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to a benefit fund for David's daughter, Lillian contact Arnold or Linda Berney for account information.

Regretfully, I found out today that David had passed away. He was my Sysco rep for several years and went above and beyond to do extra things for us. He was always in a great mood, always smiling! His manners and speech were impeccable, a credit to his upbringing and to his family. He was also the reason I got to enjoy travel rewards to fabulous places with my family. To David, I am eternally grateful. Rest in peace, you left us too soon, you will be missed here. Love from all in the restaurant industry. 10/31/14

David was always a fun-loving boy when he was growing up. I remember his wonderful laugh and the sparkle in his eyes. Gone too soon, but will always be loved and remebered for his kind heart and giving spirit.
