Daniel Ridgway

Daniel Everett Ridgway, Jr. was born December 22, 1928 to his parents Daniel Everett & Dessie Ann (Rayfield) Ridgway, Sr. He passed from this life January 12, 2009 at the age of 80. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant. He entered the plumbing trade, owning his own plumbing business at one time, and then became the City of Tulsa Plumbing Inspector until his retirement.

Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Effie (Raemore) Ridgway on July 11, 2003. He is survived by his daughter Rumi and her husband Art Oneal; his sisters, Shirley McDowell and Louise Garcia; his two grandchildren, Paul Ashwood and Jennifer Hollowell; and his great grandson, Devin Hollowell.

He will lie in state Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home, 3841 S. Peoria. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2009 at the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, Tulsa, Oklahoma where he will be laid to rest.
