Obituary
Camellia “Connie” Weatherly was born March 26, 1922 in Torch, Missouri to Paul James Connelly and Myrtie Belle (Pennington) Connelly and passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 8, 2020 at the age of 98.
Connie attended Braden Park Baptist Church for over 60 years where she served as a children’s Sunday School teacher and later co-taught a senior adult ladies class for a number of years. She was also involved in many other activities of the church.
A homemaker for many years, Connie also had a long career as an Executive Secretary of Transok Pipeline. She enjoyed genealogy and won many blue ribbons for it at the Tulsa State Fair.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Harold Weatherly and her daughter, Kathleen Pippin of Tahlequah. She is survived by a sister, Helen Jones of Fort Collins, Colorado; one daughter, Sandi Eslick of Pensacola, Florida; two grandsons, Chris and Travis Eslick and two great grandsons, Dylan and Andrew Eslick of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Interment 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens with a Celebration of Life to be planned once the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.

My Aunt Connie was always sharing her in-depth work in genealogy of our families. She has many notebooks and traced families back to the 1700’s. She traveled to places, dug in old files, and shared her findings with us. We are lucky to have so many family stories. It was a privilege to have known Connie. She was generous with her time and her capacity to help others. She was a charming hostess who planned many events in her home that delighted her guests. She demonstrated her faith as she prepared Sunday School classes that encouraged the students' curiosity and participation. She was a prayer warrior who exhibited a beautiful, exemplary spirit as her health declined. She will be remembered fondly by her many friends. Margaret VanHorn
My first memories of Connie are from years ago at Putnam City Baptist Church where she was a nursery worker and Sunbeam leader for my little sister Sharon. We followed the Weatherly Family to Tulsa and attended church there together. I spent many happy childhood hours in their home having sleepovers and Sunday afternoon play dates with Kathy and Sandi. Connie and Hal always made us feel welcome and a part of the family. The friendship between Connie and Hal and my mom and dad was a special one that lasted through their lives. I hope the old gang is hanging out together again in Heaven! My heart is heavy with Connie’s passing, but I also feel so blessed to have shared in knowing her kindness, hospitality and positive outlook on life.
