Claudean B. Averyt

Claudean Beeson Averyt was born on April 20, 1924 in Stigler, OK to Claude Lee Fuller and Mae Augusta (Warren) Fuller. She passed from this life on Friday, February 26, 2016 at the age of 91.

To her family she was known as Honey, a nickname coined by her grandson Tony when he was young. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her greatest accomplishment in life was uniting, gathering, and loving her family and others. Her home became the center of all family activities.

Claudean had a long, successful career as an executive secretary, retiring from Telex Corporation after more than 20 years of service. After retirement she joined the St. John Hospital Auxiliary, eventually serving as its president.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Shackelford, Harry Louis Beeson and Charles Bill Averyt; a son, Larry Shackelford, sisters Betty Saunders and Jewel Harris, and brother Don Fuller. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Harriet and Sam Hood of Bartlesville, OK; daughter-in-law, Onie Shackelford; 4 grandchildren, 3 nieces, and several great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Tuesday, March 1st at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 2nd at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 51st & Memorial, Tulsa, OK.
