Clarice Hemphill Winfrey was born December 23, 1930 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Carthell Hubert and Beulah Elizabeth (Fitzgerald) Hemphill. She passed from this life Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in Tulsa at the age of 83.
She married Richard H. Winfrey on June 4, 1949 in Tulsa. She was a child of God, wife, mother of three, grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 16. She worked for nine years at First National Bank in Tulsa. She taught Sunday School, was a Y.W.A. leader, a training union leader, a church librarian, a literacy volunteer for two years and a volunteer at The Little Lighthouse for many years, a genealogist for more than 20 years and a friend to many. Her hobbies included reading, cross-stitch and quilting.
A private family service is planned. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute in Clarice’s memory to The Little Lighthouse, 5120 East 36th Street, Tulsa, OK 74135 www.littlelighthouse.org.

It's obvious, Clarice lived a wonderful faithfilled life. A strong woman, mother and wife who raised her children to love God and to be a loving and compassionate close knit family. She lives on thru the lives of her children, grand children and great grandchildren. What an incredible legacy. She lives on and on and on, here and in heaven!
