Obituary
Clarence E. “Junior” Green, 84, passed away Thursday evening in the St. John Medical Center.
Junior was born on April 16, 1930 in Pawnee County on the old homestead near old Mannford to Clarence and Millie (Shoumake) Green.
He attended and graduated from Mannford high school graduating in 1948. He then began work for Tulsa Paper Company which is now XPEDX until 2008. He and Hettie Hanley were united in marriage on July 29, 1950. Junior was a longtime member of the Yale Avenue Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Hettie of the home, two sons, Charles and wife Barbara Green of Forney, Texas, Michael Green of Ridgeland, Mississippi, two daughters, Melinda and her husband Gary Evans of Tulsa and Patricia and her husband David Dobbins of Mannford. Sixteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Warren E. and Calvin Green, two sisters Maxine Green and Imogene Cruzen, two granddaughters, Karen Green and Victoria Dobbins.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donation be made in Junior’s name to a charity of your choice.

Megan and I had known Junior since last Fall, and we became instant friends with him and Hettie. He was every so modest, kind, and loved to be outdoors and take walks. Junior never stopped working around the yard, and always enjoyed having a talk. It was a blessing to have met him, wishing the family peace during this time.

My most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Junior Green, I am lucky enough to call Junior a friend. A man of principle, and values, that are to be respected and treasured. Some people might say Junior was Old School, in his ways of speaking his mind. He said what he meant, and he always meant what he said. These values in my book are not Old School, but simply knowing the difference between right and wrong. Two things that should not be Old, merely things that should be constant, respected, and never aging, but continually evolving. Junior will be missed by all that were fortunate enough to make his acquaintance. RIP my friend. V
